Hello! This is Doug MacRostie and I would like to share some pictures from my parents, Bud and Elaine. My Grandpa (Mom's Dad) has been collecting maple sap to boil into syrup for something like 1000 years (...), and the tradition is continued by my folks. The boil-down was a success! We got many jars of "Number One" "A-Grade" maple syrup! Bodies ache all over from all the work it takes to do this. Carrying all those gallons of sap and then sitting at the fire keeping it going perfectly all day wears you out, big time!
